In school, we follow the Read Write Inc scheme and there are lots of handy videos which you can watch to support your child's learning at home. These videos explain exactly what phonics is and why it is so important to your child's learning.

This video also gives an example of each of the Speed Sounds so that you can support your child at home with the correct pronunciation of each sound.

Grapheme Phases

Below is an image of the grapheme phrases to go with each of our sounds and an image to support pencil grip too. The children  have really impressed us with their recall of 'around the apple and down the leaf' to help them draw an 'a'.
