  • Thursday 22 May 2025 Musical Showcase We had a wonderful day in school showcasing our musical talents through the songs we’ve been learning this term with Jen. It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to perform, and we were thrilled to see so many parents attend the concert and support them. Thank you for helping make it such a special occasion!

  • Wednesday 21 May 2025 Football Match A huge well done to the girls' football team on their first competitive match last night! The team played brilliantly and gained valuable experience on the pitch. They were incredibly unlucky not to score more goals, but it was a fantastic performance all around!
  • Friday 16 May 2025 Steph McGovern loves our school! Steph McGovern recently visited our school for breakfast. She had a fantastic time and created a lovely video capturing her experience.
  • Friday 16 May 2025 Attendance 16.5.25 Attendance has been really good this week — well done to the Year 6 classes for achieving 100%! There’s just one more week to go before the half-term break, so let’s make it another fabulous week!
  • Friday 9 May 2025 Deaf Awareness Week This week, we celebrated Deaf Awareness Week across the school. The children engaged in a variety of activities designed to deepen their understanding of the Deaf community and promote inclusive communication.
  • Friday 9 May 2025 Musical Showcase On Thursday, 22nd May 2025, we will be hosting a special day to celebrate our musical talents. Each class will perform at different times throughout the day—please refer to the poster below for the full schedule.
  • Thursday 8 May 2025 VE Day - 80 We marked the 80th anniversary of VE Day with a wonderful red, white and blue-themed celebration.
  • Monday 7 April 2025 Introducing Arbor We’re pleased to let you know that we’ve recently upgraded our school system to a new platform called Arbor. This system is designed to make it easier for you to stay informed and involved in your child’s school life, while also improving communication between home and school.
  • Friday 4 April 2025 Attendance 4.4.25 The picture displays this week's attendance, which has unfortunately declined compared to last week. With just one more week remaining before the Easter break, it would be wonderful if we could reach 96% attendance for the week.
  • Thursday 3 April 2025 Secret Garden Adventure! Our Nursery class (Saplings) had a wonderful time visiting the secret garden at Doxford Park, just a mile from the school. The garden and park are the perfect spot for a spontaneous adventure. 33 children enjoyed their first ride on the minibus, exploring the garden, admiring the flowers, looking for insects, listening to the birds, and some even claimed to have spotted a fairy!
  • Thursday 3 April 2025 Angel of the North The Year 6 children have been working incredibly hard this morning on their Maths in preparation for the SATs. Just before lunch, we took a group of them on a quick 45-minute round trip to the Angel of the North as a well-deserved break.
  • Wednesday 2 April 2025 Penshaw Monument and Herrington Park The weather has been lovely this week, so we decided to take full advantage of it by hopping on the school minibus to explore our local area. Just a short drive from the school, we visited Penshaw Monument and Herrington Country Park.
  • Friday 28 March 2025 Attendance 28.3.25 The picture displays this week's school attendance. With two full weeks left before the Easter break, we hope to achieve attendance above 96% in both weeks to help boost our overall attendance for the school year.
  • Friday 21 March 2025 80s Red Nose Day We had an amazing time this Red Nose Day, raising a fantastic £480 for this wonderful charity. The theme was the 80s, and the children’s costumes were incredible, with staff getting into the spirit as well! We had a retro disco and karaoke, with the children learning the moves to some classic 80s novelty dances like Agadoo and the Birdie Dance. I hope you enjoy the photos and videos below!
  • Thursday 20 March 2025 Red Nose Day 2025 The school council has been busy baking cakes for Red Nose Day! We will be selling them from 8:30am on Friday, 21st March 2025 to raise funds for this fantastic charity.

  • Friday 7 March 2025 Attendance 7.3.25 It’s been a great first week back for attendance, with many classes very close to 100%!
  • Monday 24 February 2025 World Book Day - 6th March 2025 Thursday 6th March is World Book Day To celebrate this year, we will be dressing up as our favourite book characters. Please note, this is completely optional. The children are welcome to bring in their favourite book too!
  • Friday 21 February 2025 Maths Day What a fantastic day! From TTRS battles to a Multiplication Treasure Hunt with our friends in Poplar Class, we’ve had so much fun! And thank you so much for supporting us with all of those fabulous number themed outfits - creative ideas!
  • Friday 21 February 2025 Attendance 21.2.25 Our attendance for this week was 95%, with some excellent individual class attendance. A special mention goes to our youngest children in school - Seedlings Class (2 year old provision), who had only one absence this week—their best attendance week ever! Well done, Seedlings!
  • Friday 14 February 2025 Love is Something It's Valentine's Day today! During Star Assembly, the children sang one of our favorite hymns 'Love Is Something If You Give It Away'.
  • Thursday 13 February 2025 Maths Everywhere To celebrate everyone's hard work in Maths so far this year, we will be ending this half term (Friday 21st) with activities devoted to all things number!
  • Thursday 13 February 2025 Paris Residential Meeting The rearranged Paris residential meeting has been moved to Tuesday, 18th February, at 3:30pm in the main school hall.
  • Thursday 13 February 2025 Water Leak - Safety The water leak has been repaired. However, additional exploratory work is still required, and the holes from the digging need to be filled. As a result, some areas at the front of the school remain fenced off. Please be cautious when entering the school and avoid the fenced-off areas.
  • Friday 7 February 2025 Attendance Superstars A wonderful trip to Herrington Country Park with a group of attendance superstars who have not missed a single day of school this academic year.

It is essential that children can cross safely in front of the school gates. Therefore, drivers must not use this area as a turning point or a place to pull in, as this puts children at risk.
