Alnwick Castle Risk Assessment

Flynn visited Alnwick Castle and Gardens on Saturday, 17th June, 2023 to undertake a risk assessment for the upcoming visit.

Year 2 will be visiting Alnwick Castle on Monday, 3rd July, 2023.  Children will be exploring life in a castle as well as participate in a workshop - ' Castle Defences - Storming the Barbican' .  The Barbican was the only way into the medieval Alnwick Castle, and was full of obstacles to make sure no invading Scottish army ever broke into this English fortress. Children will learn about the dangers and defences of a border castle.
