Application Approved

At a meeting on June 10th, Sunderland City Council's Planning and Highways Committee approved an application for the construction of our new school build on the site of the former Sunningdale Primary School.

The new school will have a capacity of 315 pupils, along with a nursery offering 39 additional places and 12 places for two-to three-year-olds.

The school will feature enhanced spaces, including specialist teaching rooms, areas for small group teaching, an immersive space and rooms designed for special educational needs and hearing impairment support. 

The car park will provide 36 regular parking spaces and four accessible bays for staff and visitors. Additionally, 80 bike racks will be installed to encourage sustainable transportation methods.
