Christmas Diary Dates 2022

We are approaching that special time of year when we look forward to the festivities and celebrations that are part of Christmas.

For the first time since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, we will be joining together as a whole school community at this special time of year.

Within school, we have a number of events that we want to make you aware of.  Further details and/or consent forms will be sent out nearer the time.

Year 2 Sycamore and Year 3 Poplar visit Seaham Beach – Consent form to follow.

Christmas Crafts with Parents – Various Dates

Reception/Year 1 Beech class – Monday 5^th December 2022- afternoon

Reception/Year 1 Willow Class – Tuesday 6^th December 2022 - afternoon

Year 1 Oak and Year 2 Sycamore – Wednesday 7^th December 2022 – morning

Nursery Saplings – Wednesday 14^th December 2022 – morning

Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day – Thursday 8^th December 2022

Children can wear their Christmas jumpers to school for a donation of £1.  This donation will go to the Save the Children Charity.  You do not need to buy a new one – you can decorate any jumper you already have with some Christmas accessories i.e. tinsel, baubles.

West Boldon Lodge – Thursday 8^th December 2022

Reception/Year 1 Willow and Beech class to visit West Boldon Lodge – morning – Consent form to follow.

Snowtubing at Silksworth Ski Slope – Various Dates

Children will need to wear outdoor clothing and MUST have gloves. Consent forms will be sent out soon.

Christmas Carol Service – Thursday 15^th December 2022

Parents of children in Year 1 Oak, Year 3 Poplar, and Year 5 Spruce & Cedar are invited to attend at - 10.30am

Parents of children in Year 2 Sycamore, Year 4 Larch and Year 6 Hazel are invited to attend at - 1.30pm

Chaplin’s Theatre Company will visit school to perform the pantomime ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’ for all children in school.

Christmas Outdoor Activity Day – Monday 19^th December 2022

All children will take part in Christmas activities outside. – Children will need warm outdoor clothes on including hats and gloves.

Christmas Dinner - Tuesday 20^th December 2022

If your child normally brings a packed lunch to school but would like a Christmas dinner instead, then please let school know.
