Remembrance Day - 11th November 2020
The whole school joined the town to mark the two minutes silence for Remembrance Day as well as doing individual Remembrance activities in class.
In Sycamore class, we have learnt all about Aboriginal Symbols and we have designed our own stories using their symbols. They look amazing :)
Poplar Class - 'The Colour Monster' Collage
In Polpar class we have been creating some collage artwork based on our text, 'The Colour Monster'.
Year 6 have been analysing a narrative poem written by Alfred Noyes called 'The Highwayman'. Set in 18th century England, the poem tells the tale of thief and his love, Bess. Using archaic language, it was a challenge to interpret and we began the week by unpicking each stanza to decipher the hidden emotions, actions and thoughts of each character. It gave us a fantastic insight into the poem.
