James Dasaolu, Olympian to visit school

On Friday 8th April, Team GB 100m sprinter and Olympian, James Dasaolu is coming to visit Thorney Close!

As part of his visit, James will be putting each class through their paces with an Olympic style fitness circuit and discussing his path to becoming an Olympian through the benefits of exercise and nutrition in a whole-school assembly. The pupils will also get an opportunity to ask James questions as part of the assembly.

Children have been given a sponsorship form to take home. The children have until Friday 1st April to be sponsored by family and friends for their Olympic fitness circuits. The money raised goes towards funding Team GB athletes (who don’t have major sponsorships) and our school for buying sports equipment.

This promises to be a fantastic experience for the children to meet and work with a real-life Olympian!
