MP Visit

We had the pleasure of welcoming Bridget Phillipson, the MP for Sunderland South and Houghton, to our school this morning. We were also visited by Lyndsey McDonald. the Chief Executive Officer of Magic Breakfast.

Magic Breakfast have been providing our breakfast food freely for 10 years now. This is something we would like to see rolled out in all schools and it’s something Bridget cares passionately about in her position as the shadow Education Secretary.

She came to visit us to see how we provide breakfast for all children. The children questioned her before the start of the school day and they were very probing. Bridget answered their questions with real passion for the City of Sunderland and the Northeast. She even stayed on to present the star assembly certificates.

The children were magnificent, as always!
