Strike Action Dates

We have been advised that the NEU are proposing to take strike action on Thursday 27th April and Tuesday 2nd May, as a further step in their national dispute over pay. This is not a decision that our teachers have taken lightly. Please understand that Teachers are striking against the national educational policy and resourcing in schools and not against the children that they work so hard for every day.

School will be open to the following classes:
Saplings
Willow
Oak
Sycamore
Hazel

School will be closed to the following classes:
Beech
Fir
Poplar
Larch
Spruce
Cedar

Your child’s attendance will not be affected by the strike day, as they will be coded as a Y (unable to attend due to exceptional circumstances).

If your child is entitled to free school meals, they will be given a packed lunch from school to take home with them. The packed lunch for the Tuesday will be different (Jacket potato and beans).
