At Primary School, assessment takes many forms and is a key part of every lesson, used to track progress and understanding. At the end of each term, all pupils are assessed, and their learning levels are recorded. These results are reviewed by staff, and where needed, interventions are put in place to support individual pupils or small groups.
In the summer term, statutory assessments take place for pupils in Year 2 and Year 6, with phonics screening for Year 1 pupils and the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile for Reception children
