Take a look below at our wonderful learning, visits and experiences.
Pictures will be added throughout the 2024-2025 academic year.
Celebrating VE Day 2025!
Today we have practiced our throwing and catching skills. This is a core aspect of the children's physical development.
We've been reading 'Commotion in the Ocean'. We painted ship port holes, played with ocean themed play-doh and wrote all about the wonderful creatures under the sea.
This week we have done some reading with "One day on our blue planet" and enjoyed the warm weather in our EYFS garden.
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter! Have a look at our spring daffodils.
What a lovely afternoon learning how to play football with Coach Craig!
In our computing groups, we have been continuing to practise our typing skills. We have been using the website Typingclub. We have learnt that each finger had a different letter to press and that we need to take breaks away from the computer too.
We went to Penshaw Monument and Herrington Country Park. Look at all the fun we had!
A few photos from our 80's themed Red Nose Day!
Check out some of our costumes from World Book Day 2025!
Thank you for coming to our Valentine's Day Stay and Play! The children showed exceptional behaviour and it was great to watch you interact with their learning environment.
This week, we were lucky enough to have a visit from an artist who specialised in Chinese art. The children used a technique called Block Pattern and our artwork will be used to create part of a Chinese dragon decoration for school.
Today in Maths, we have been sequencing our day using new vocabulary such as first, next, then and finally.
We had a lovely time at our Christmas party!
We really enjoyed our trip to the Winter Gardens! We went on a wildlife hunt with our binoculars and visited the tropical greenhouse.
In Gymnastics, we learned how to climb and jump safely with our coach Tanya! We also learned how to engage our tummy muscles and carry out a backwards roll safely.
In our computing lesson, we explored a paint app. We utilised the circle and square tools, along with the fill tool, to colour our shapes. We created some fantastic pictures!
In our computing lesson, we used a mouse with our 'clicky' finger to create marks using the Purple Mash paint program. We even learned how to change the colors!
We’ve taken full advantage of the beautiful weather and had a wonderful time outdoors. The children enjoyed climbing on the climbing frame, as well as jumping, skipping, and hopping, all while developing their gross motor skills.
What an incredible first full week! We have been settling into routines, understanding expectations, and making new friends. We've had fun in the outdoor play area and the home learning area. We’ve also worked hard on writing our numbers.
Take a look at our first 'Little Dribblers' session. We've had so much fun working with Craig from Sunderland AFC.
What an amazing first two days we’ve had settling in.
We’ve had a busy first day today settling into our new classroom and for some of us, our new school. Here is just a snapshot of us playing and enjoying a music lesson with our music teacher Jen!
